The Ting Tings orignally formed the group in 2004. They are from the lovely country of Salford, England.
The band consists of Katie White,who is the vocalist of the group and also plays the gutair and bass drums, and Jules De Martino, who plays the drums and is a vocalist as well.
They have currently released four hit singles from their record label, Columbia Records UK, which released my favorite two hit singles: "That's not my name" and "Shut up and let me go". I'm not the only one who is loving their sound because it charted number 1 on the UK singles chart on May 18th 2008. The album "We started Nothing" was released the day after on May 19th, 2008, which also charted the charts in the UK at number 1. Their sounds are slowly making their way over to the US, do you think they got what it takes to pursuade our American ears???

I love their song "That's not my name'' it's soooo catchy! I do think that some people here in the US will listen to them, but I dont think they will be big like;; Lil Wayne, or anyone like that.

I like their music, and I do think that they have what it takes. They may not be big when they first start out, but it may get there one day.
ReplyDeleteI like it. They remind me of a cross between Uffie and Archie Star, which is something that I never thought I would say because they are two extream opposites.

They played "shut up & let me go" nonstop on MTV last summer, they're definitely making their way here. I like that song, but not too many others. They get old fast.
